Fernanda Cardoso, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil is a graduate of the University of Southern California film school and has been working for the past nine years as a television editor on shows such as "America's Next Top Model", “The Real L Word” and “Amazing Race”. She was a recipient of the Ila Rosenbaum Screenwriting Scholarship, the Barbara Boyle Scholarship and a fellowship from Film Independent. Fernanda can fence and skateboard a little and holds an orange belt in Tae-Kwon Do. “Bloomington” is her feature directing debut.
Jason Shumway has been making movies since the young age of 14. After getting his first taste of video editing at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Jason became an award winning filmmaker while studying in J. Everett Light Radio/Television program. For college Jason was lucky enough to be accepted to the prestigious University of Southern California. In this top rated film program Jason directed eight films and crew on many more. He has recently worked on shows for G4TV and NBC. Currently he is a staff editor on E! Entertainment Television.
George has had a love of photography all of his life. This passion led him to the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts where he studied cinematography under legends such as Conrad Hall ASC, Vilmos Zsigmond ASC, and Woody Omens ASC. Upon graduating, George immediately put himself to work by shooting both independent narrative films as well as projects for national television networks. His work has been seen on ABC, NBC, FOX, HBO and multiple cable networks. His film work has screened at the Sundance Film Festival, South by Southwest, and many other international film festivals. George has recently served as cinematographer on Liongate’s "Dance of the Dead", Hidden Staircase’s award-winning "Father Vs Son", and the award-winning sci-fi short film "Enigma".
Since the end of his second semester at USC in 2004, BMI award winning composer Jermaine Stegall has worked as a lead composer, an orchestrator, and additional music composer of a wide array of films and television projects for Warner Brothers Pictures, Sam Raimi’s Ghosthouse Pictures, CW Television Network, Nickelodeon, 20th Century Fox Studios, Lionsgate Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, and was recently nominated for the 2007 Diosas De Plata Award / Best Original Score in Mexico.
Justin Dornbush discovered editing by chance. At the age of 15 he was randomly chosen as editor for a high school project, and since then it has been his passion. During school he dedicated every free moment to studying the art of editing and cutting every project he could get his hands on. While attending the world renowned film school at The University of Southern California, Justin’s production class was asked what they wanted to do in film. As expected there were many Directors in the group, Justin was the only one who stood up and said he wanted nothing more then to edit. Upon graduating Justin began professionally editing for such networks as The Learning Channel, Fine Living, The Discovery Channel and G4TV. He has continued to grow artistically by working on many independent films, including Enigma, Entry Level, Missy and The Maxinator, The Other Side and Dance of the Dead.
Misti Boland is an accomplished Production Designer for feature films, music videos, and commercials. She is driven by a passion to visually develop characters and the spaces they occupy. The official 2009 Sundance selection feature film, “The Only Good Indian,” starring J. Kenneth Campbell, Winter Fox Frank and Wes Studi features her art direction and the international award winning feature film, “Air the Musical”, exemplifies her production design. Her work can also be seen in music videos for artists such as the New York City-based The Dylan Paul Band and the Italian rock band Lacuna Coil. Misti Boland has a keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and delivers her work on time and within budget. She incorporates a special sense of design and style through the use of color, texture, architecture, back-story, and research. Her work encompasses an array of genres, including musical, romantic comedy, thriller, horror, post apocalyptic, sci-fi, western, and more. She has experience designing for 16 mm, 35 mm, Video, High Def, and the Red One. Misti Boland has worked in markets all over the country and is available to travel worldwide.
Jamie Hardt is a freelance sound designer, supervisor and sound effects editor, recently designing and editing sound effects for Roland Emmerich’s 2012 and Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker, winner of the 2009 Academy Awards for Best Sound and Best Sound Editing. As well as designing the sound for Joe Ballarini’s comedy Father Vs. Son, he supervised and designed the sound effects for Gregg Bishop’s indie action/horror features Dance of the Dead and The Other Side and Frank E. Flowers’ Haven, starring Orlando Bloom and Bill Paxton. Jamie also co-supervised the sound for Kenny Ortega’s High School Musical 3. Jamie has worked on over 30 feature films, including Spider-Man 3, The Grudge 2, The Great Raid and Equilibrium, over the course of his career collaborating with award winning and legendary sound supervisors such as Steven Hunter Flick, John Leveque, Jon Johnson and Paul Ottosson. A St. Paul, Minnesota native, Jamie graduated from the University of Southern California in 2000 and works in Los Angeles.
