The best things to do at the Globe Food items & Audio Pageant in Des Moines

Get a taste of cuisines from about the environment and and pay attention to audio with a world defeat this weekend in the Western Gateway.

The Entire world Foods & Music Competition returns to Western Gateway Park, 1000 Grand Ave., Aug. 25-27.

The function that started off in 2005 in the Historic East Village with two dozen suppliers moved to the Western Gateway in 2017 and now showcases more than 50 food sellers, new music from around the earth and much more with the Pappajohn Sculpture Backyard generating the best backdrop. 

Who is accomplishing at the World Food & Songs Competition?

Guests arrive at the start of the 18th annual World Food and Music Festival at the Western Gateway Park, 1000 Grand Ave, on Friday, September 16, 2022, in Des Moines featuring nearly 50 vendors from 27 countries from around the world as they provide live entertainment, cultural enhancement, and culinary opportunities for guests from September 16th through September 18th.

Latin music, songs from the afrobeat genre and traditional rock covers are just a sample of what attendees can count on to hear all over the weekend at the principal phase, which is located around the John and Mary Pappajohn Instruction Middle.

Latin Grammy winners Flor de Toloache bring the sounds of Mexican mariachi audio on Friday at 8:30 p.m. The all-female ensemble founded in 2008 is led by musicians Mireya I. Ramos and Shae Fiol. Just before their functionality, the Des Moines South American and Andean fusion music group Son Peruchos will consider the stage at 6:30 p.m.
